Hello. My name is Katie Dempsey. I received my teaching degree from St. Martin’s University and my master’s degree in Educational Administration at Seattle University. I love the opportunity that administration provides because it gives me the chance to not only interact with students of all grades, but also to work with an incredibly dedicated group of teachers to support the growth of our amazing school. My favorite thing about Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy is the commitment that we have to educating all students/families who seek a quality, innovative Catholic education.

I am so excited to join Holy Rosary this year! My educational background is with a degree in Child Development, a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies grades K-8, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I just moved back home to Washington from Phoenix, Arizona to be closer to family. I have two teenagers Mia who is 18 and Cannon who is 15. While in Phoenix, I taught in HeadStart with Maricopa County, then I moved into elementary education with the Deer Valley School District. I love being back home with all of the beauty that comes with it. I was born in Longview, and lived in Spanaway for some time as a child, because my dad ran the lumber mill, when that closed down, I moved to Idaho, then back to Washington, where I graduated from Fort Vancouver in Vancouver, Washington. I also grew up a devout Catholic, my first communion at St. Pius in Idaho, and a member of St. Joes in Vancouver, where I did all of my CDC classes. With that being said, I am so excited to be a part of Holy Rosary this year, and hopefully for many more to come!
